Yep, I did get up at 4:40 this morning to watch the royal wedding (or is it Royal Wedding?). And while I was watching it I worked on a sweater I am knitting...for a doll....and made 2 dozen muffins. I had to justify the silliness some way.
My thoughts and observations....
I liked Kate's dress, but I liked Pippa's more.
I loved the way Pippa came down the aisle holding the hands of the littlest bridemaids/flower girls.
When asked "Who gives this woman....?", Mr. Middleton merely gave Kate's hand to the Archbishop. It didn't look like he said anything...especially not that silly, "Her mother and I do."
Everyone who reads during a wedding ceremony should take a tip from Kate's brother, James.
In his sermon, the Bishop of London quoted St. Catherine of Siena. I like the quote. "Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire."
Props to those who actually sang the hymns...especially Mr. Middleton, Prince Philip, and the crowds outside.
And finally....what in the world were Beatrice and Eugenie thinking?
